We Day, Across Canada

We Day is coming to a city near you! You might be wondering, what is We Day? We Day was started by the organization Free the Children. Founded by brothers Craig and Marc Kielburger, Free the Children has become a global phenominon. They have helped build over 650 schools, and have provided access to clean water and health care to those in the developing nations.  We Day is a day of performers and motivational speakers coming together with Canadian youth to empower them to make a global change. By working together with celebrities and youth, the goal of We Day is to raise funds to help abolish famine, child labor, slavery, and to promote equal rights all around the world.

We Day is hitting the road starting September 28 in Toronto! Hitting up 6 major cities across Canada over the course of 2 months. Each We Day will feature many incredible celebrities, performers and speakers to help motivate todays youth. If you want to check out dates and the performers for your city, click here!. Right here in Calgary, on October 24, you can see performers such as Lights, Hedley and Shawn Desman. Speakers include the hilarious Jessi Cruickshank, paralympian Rick Hansen, and former Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Gorbachev. Want to see your favorite celebrities, get motivated, and make a change in the world? You can get tickets from www.freethechildren.com/weday. All you need to do is register your group, and the best part is that tickets are free! You can also sign up to volunteer for We Day here.
