Amanda Bynes and DUI's

Amanda Bynes is an American actress. Her first debut in acting started in 1996 in the film, "All That". She has been in numerous movies and tv shows, such as "Big Fat Liar", "The Amanda Show", "What A Girl Wants", "Sydney White", and "She's The Man". Those are just a list of the movies and tv shows that I have seen her play in. I personally find that the roles Amanda Bynes starred in represented her personality as humorous, easy going, entertaining, and innocent. Recently I found out that Amanda Bynes has been caught drinking and driving, and is now currently facing a DUI with 2 hit and run charges. I was looking on Perez Hilton and he states that Amanda Bynes was caught driving under the influence with a suspended license and could possibly face up to 6 months in jail. I think it's so disappointing to see stars who you watched when you were younger that were so innocent, and grow up to be so reckless.

On a side note, drinking and driving is still a problem that people face in todays society. People don't understand that driving under the influence can put their life and others innocent lives at risk. It's such a devastating tragedy that some people fail to recognize. There are other alternatives to getting home safely or to some place, such as a taxi or a friend. Do people not want to take a taxi home because it costs money? I've never necessarily understood why people do drink and drive, but I think it's easier to take a taxi home rather than putting someone's life at risk and regretting the whole decision and carrying that guilt throughout the rest of their life. I want to know some of peoples opinions on these 2 questions: What are some ideas that could stop individuals from drinking and driving?, or why do you think people decide to drink and drive?
