Well, it's getting down to the nitty gritty with the last remaining finalists. It's been an intense few weeks with some shocking results. As of tonight's result show (Thursday, November 29) - the top six still left in the competition (in order of ranking with the most votes) are:
- Carly Rose Sonenclar - With Mentor: Britney Spears
- Tate Stevens - With Mentor: L.A. Reid
- Emblem 3 - With Mentor: Simon Cowell
- Fifth Harmony - With Mentor: Simon Cowel
- CeCe Frey - With Mentor: Demi Lovato
- Diamond White - With Mentor: Britney Spears
This week Paige Thomas was the first to be sent home with the lowest amount of votes, which was quite shocking to the audience and the judges - seeing as last night's performance was one of her strongest yet.
Diamond White and Vino Alan were the next two in the bottom with the lowest votes and were required to sing-off for survival. Diamond White had a strong performance in the sing-off and was ultimately saved from elimination - L.A Reid being the only one voting to send her home. Unfortunately, Vino Alan was the second to be sent home this week - having Simon, Demi, and Britney all voting to eliminate him from the competition.
Personally from watching the live show last night, I thought CeCe Frey and Vino Alan had the weakest performances of the bunch. Not only did CeCe have a poor performance, but she has consistently been in the bottom for the last few weeks. Last night L.A Reid said to her: "At least you're going down fighting"! Simon Cowell also told her: "Get ready to pack your bags"! Well, they were both wrong - this girl is somehow hanging on for dear life in this competition. It will be interesting to see what she pulls out of her sleeve next week!
I thought for sure CeCe would be doomed this week with her mediocre performance; thinking that she would finally be knocked out of the competition for good. Although, when she ended up placing fifth in votes tonight, I was definitley in a little bit of shock (and I think some of the judges were too)!
Even though I thought Vino had a weak performance and his song choice was poor, I still felt as though he was more well liked then say, Fifth Harmony. Therefore I believed he at least had a chance to survive another week or so in the competition - hopefully choosing a better song choice for the following week... but so much for that belief!
It's hard to know what's going to happen seeing as America's the one doing the voting - you never know who's going to be safe.
Who do you think is going to be the winner of the 5 million dollar prize and recording contract?
I personally believe it's between Carly Rose, Emblem 3, or possibly Tate Stevens. Definitely leaning more towards Carly Rose or Emblem 3.
I'm excited for the next few weeks! Make sure to stay tuned!
Heather, I also watch this show each and every week, and I have to say that I am completely amazed at the fact that Cece Frey is still in the competition and frankly, it makes me a little angry. I feel that there are people going home, or at least fighting it out in the bottom, who are so much more talented than her. I really just don't understand. I know a lot of people are considering whether they are simply hanging on to her for extra ratings; people obviously tune in to see if she'll continue on or not.
ReplyDeleteI think the winner is going to be either Tate Stevens or Carly Rose. I aboslutely love Carly and really hope she wins. In the end though I think both her and Tate will be seen throughout the music industry, as they both have incredible voices.
I will definitely be tuning in for the next couple of weeks to see how everyone does. As someone who has never watched the show, I am curious to see what happens once a judge loses all of their contestants. Do you know how this will work?
Hi Megan!
DeleteYes this show is SO good! I try to follow it loyally too! Way better than The Voice I think!
I couldn't agree with you more about CeCe Frey! I think you're right with thinking they might just be keeping her around for the views! I think she has some serious attitude and seems really fake - one week she's super tough, then the next extremely vulnerable, then she acts like the judges don't know what they are talking about, then she's all sincere that she wants to be there and do better - she's all over the map as far as I'm concerned. Not to mention, a lot of talent has gone home that should still be there over her!
Tate Stevens and Carly Rose are awesome, I agree! That girl's got one heck of a voice on her for being 13 and Tate reminds me of Garth Brooks - super awesome! Love them both! I'll be happy if either of them win! They will definitely have a future in the music industry regardless of the outcome!
So I followed last season, and when Paula Abdul's groups all got kicked off - she just was on the show as a judge and observer. Nothing really happens, she just didn't have anyone left to perform, so is just another body judging. Not sure if they will keep it the same way this season, or have something different happen?!
Regardless, I can't wait till next week! It's getting so intense! I love it!! Haha!
